Reviews and Advice

Hello there,

In the past, Aelyria won a Gold Wyrm many years ago, and we'd like to be re-reviewed and awarded the Gold Wyrm once more.

Okay the requirements for a gold wyrm are here. If you fulfill all of the minimum criteria. Then let me know here and I will check the site. You may want to consider going for the Amber Quill instead that is for quality creative writing, rather than factual, resource-based content. The minimum requirements for that are here

BTW in Opera 9.20 the graphics for the seal at first are aligned but the bottommost (aelyriaseal4.gif) moves out of alignment once the the graphics for the Art, Link, Blogs and Wiki load.

Thanks for the response, Zeta.

I presume that when you suggested that we apply for an Amber Quill instead, you are referring to the Gold Wyrm requirement: "If you are running a play-by-post site, realize that we cannot consider that content for the GW. Good writers may come and go from your site and we want to award content that will be there for some time to come. If your site is mainly gameplay, please consider applying for the Amber Quill instead."

Aelyria has been in constant operation since 1989; we are extremely well known as the pioneers that established the play by post space on the Internet. I am confident in the quality of our content (which includes over 1.2 million articles, books and merchandise, fan-inspired artwork and music, and official canon resources for our extensive off-line fan gaming community) merits us for a Gold Wyrm. That said, we would also welcome the opportunity to be considered under the Amber Wyrm guidelines.

Re: the graphics, thanks for the heads up! I checked out the site in Opera 9.20, and I couldn't reproduce the misalignment error you mentioned. Can you tell me more about your resolution, and whether the error is still occuring?

Thanks again!

Hello there,

Do we have an update? I noticed that other, less active, almost-dead Play by Post sites have a Gold Wyrm; Aelyria remains the largest, most popular, and widely subscribed site of its kind. It routinely breaks into the Top 10 of the RPGGateway Die Rollers Top Sites, and it has been dramatically growing, supporting hundreds of new players and defying conventional wisdom on whether or not text-based, narrative prose role playing can persist in the age of instant, transactional gaming.

Aelyria had earned the GW in the past, and we are anxious to display it proudly once again on our RPGGateway.com listings. I hope that RPGGateway.com will give us a fair shot, and review our site.
